Brew Recipe using Orea Z1 Bypass Brewer
Ingredients & Prep:
- 15g of RBR Santa's Reserve – ground to medium-fine (closer to V60 or can be finer if you prefer more immersion
- 1:15 ratio of water (93 deg Celsius to prevent bitterness)
- Orea Z1 Zero Bypass Brewer
- Sibarist Fast filter paper
Instructions:
1) Prepare 15g of ground RBR Santa's Reserve coffee (*Medium-Fine*)
2) Immerse Z1 bottom cap with Sibarist Fast Filter paper and in a dish of water to thoroughly soak the filter paper
3) Prepare Orea Z1 Zero Bypass Brewer and add 15g of ground RBR Santa's Reserve coffee. *Keep Melodrip aside for now (do not install yet)*
4) Pour 60g in a spiral motion to bloom for 45 seconds, swirl the brewer gently to wet all grounds
5) Install Melodrip
6) Pour 60g over the Melodrip in a spiral motion to achieve 120g total water weight; **when water drains to ~1cm above the bed, proceed to next step
7) Pour 60g over the Melodrip to achieve 180g total water weight; *when water drains to ~1cm above the bed, proceed to next step*
8) Finish off with 45g over the Melodrip to achieve 225g total weight and wait for it to fully drain
9) Serve and enjoy your piping hot Christmas coffee 🎄
Recommended espresso brewing parameters:
Dose: 18 to 20g
Pre-infusion: 5 to 8 seconds
Yield ratio: 1:1.5
Water temperature: 92 - 94 degrees celcius
